Jonathan Clasing, JD, LLM

Introduction

Jonathan Clasing serves as Senior Counsel in the Advanced Planning and Family Office Practice Group at Handler Law. His practice is focused on taxation, including tax planning, tax opinions, and tax compliance.

Prior to joining Handler Law, he spent four years at a Big Four accounting firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions tax. He has extensive experience in federal taxation, state and local taxation, international taxation, tax due diligence, structuring, modeling, transaction cost analyses, legal entity rationalizations, reorganizations, and restructurings.

Jonathan received his Master in Laws in Taxation degree (LL.M) from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, graduating with Honors, and holds a Corporate Taxation Certificate. He also received a Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University College of Law, graduating with Honors, and holds a Corporate Law Certificate.

He is admitted to practice law and public accounting in the State of Illinois.
