Introduction

Amanda is a member of Handler Law’s Advanced Planning & Family Office Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on estate, tax, charitable and corporate planning for high-net-worth, multinational individuals, families, closely-held businesses, private foundations, private trust companies and family offices. Amanda is highly experienced in drafting and administering complex wills and trusts, and has successfully represented individual and corporate trustees and trust beneficiaries in fiduciary litigation matters.

Amanda is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, a Leaders Council Member of the Ultra High Net Worth Institute, and a Former Chair of the YLS Estate Planning Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Additionally, Amanda is a board member of Emerge of the Museum of Contemporary Art. She has been recognized in the 2025 and 2026 editions of Best Lawyers, Ones to Watch in the practice of Trusts and Estates.

Amanda has engaged in numerous speaking engagements and presentations for organizations such as the Chicago Bar Association’s Trust Law Committee.

Prior to law school, Amanda worked at Sotheby’s in New York in their Private Client Services department, as well as at a Madison Avenue gallery.

Amanda holds a B.A. from Davidson College, a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Amanda is licensed to practice law in Illinois and New York.
